How we handle your information, the cookies we use, and the choices you have. In plain language.

This website is run by Succession Soils (Pty) Ltd. We are a soil-health consultancy for commercial macadamia, avocado and citrus orchards in South Africa. If you have any question about your information, write to us at info@successionsoils.co.za or phone +27 61 511 8795.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It follows South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
We collect information in two ways, and only for clear reasons.
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, and some details about your orchard: the crop, the region, the size in hectares, and a short message. You choose what to send. We use this only to reply to you and to help with your enquiry. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for anything you did not ask us to.
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used—which pages people read, how they arrive, and what does not work well. This helps us make the site better. It runs only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics run at all.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It remembers things between visits. We keep our use simple.
We store one small cookie that remembers your choice on the cookie banner, so it does not ask you again on every visit. This one is always set, because it exists only to record your answer. If you accept analytics, Google then sets its own cookies to count visits. These do not carry your name; they measure patterns.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether analytics may run. Nothing is tracked until you click "Accept". If you click "No thanks", we load nothing. Your answer is remembered for six months.
To change your mind, clear the cookies for this site in your browser settings. The banner will then appear again on your next visit, and you can choose afresh.
We use a small number of trusted outside services to run the site. Each has its own privacy terms.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager measure how the site is used, and only after you accept. You can read Google's terms on its own website. Formspree delivers our contact form to our inbox; anything you type into the form passes through it on the way to us. We choose these services because they are widely used and take data protection seriously, but we do not control their own policies.
We keep contact-form enquiries only as long as we need them to help you and to keep a sensible record of our work together. When there is no longer a good reason to hold your details, we remove them. Analytics data is held by Google under its own retention settings.
This site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. We limit who can see enquiry details to the people who need them to do the work. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable care.
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it. To do any of these, email info@successionsoils.co.za and we will respond.
If you feel we have not handled your information properly, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
This is a business site aimed at orchard owners and managers. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check back now and then.
